Hi Olympia: Just wondering if you would like to post a pic for me. Thelma and Louise were rescues from Ferretaid and Thelma passed away last year. This is the last pic I have of the two of them together. Louise in at the top and Thelma is just below her. I also have another pic of two more rescues from London I would like to have posted on the ferretaid website. Thanks, Lynda S.

Hi Jenny,
I hope all is well with you..Long time no talk. I asked Randy who to send our story regarding our new gal Pearl. She came in from Hamilton Human Soc. and next day Eric and I picked her up to foster...Ya right ...not We then adopted her. She is between 6mths to 9mths .We now believe we had put her at 8mnth but now think 6mths. Anyhow she is a absolute doll.No bites..loves to play , but loves her independance as well. Her name is after Janis Joplin. She weighs 1030g and eating well ...She loves to hop in tub (learned this already) and have water spray on her. She loves the covers and specially inside pillow case..Eric played almost 40 mins with her the other day just doing that. She joined together last sat at Bonnie and Nigels with their boys and had a blast. She can hold her own thats for sure. This time its a joint effort with Eric and I and Im so grateful for that and this is a gift from the universe to us.She probably was kept too much in a cage, therefore when we first had her/back legs were slumpish, now look out fully up and running, lots of exercise and care to solve that problem.
Love Deb and Eric.

Hi Randy,

Things are going very well with Robbie. Thanks so much for setting me up with him, he is an absolute sweetheart! I guess right now my only complaint would be the lack of use of the litter box, but I can deal with that. I'll pass along some pics if he ever holds still long enough for me to get a good one! (He's a very busy boy :)

Bye for now, Debra

Hi Randy,

Just wanted to let you know that Eugene (that's Shaq's new name, after my grandfather) is doing really well in his new home. He gets along very well with Squirt. Sometimes there is the typical competition bickering, such as who gets to use the water bottle at a time (doesn't matter that there is a second one in the cage...) or who gets the cheweasel, but there are also the moments where Eugene is just lying and relaxing with Squirt fussing over him and grooming him. He seems happy in his new home and Squirt seems much happier to have a mate...

Hi Randy and Olympia,

Just sending another update. Boon and Dork are doing great. Their stools are much harder again which is great and a lot less stinky. Each day they are playing more and more. This morning they were running about jumping on each other, it was great...

Hope you guys are doing well,
Heather, Boon, and Dork

Hey Randy,
Just wanted to let you know that Rico (Tango) is doing well. He is such a people loving ferret and a joy to have in our home. Please let his past foster parents know that we really appreciate any part they had in raising/training him, he really is such a good ferret (and yes he is still a messy eater).

Thanks,
Beth

Our sweet Tootsie is doing great in her new home. It only took 5 days but now she and her new brother Bandit are the best of buddies.

Hey Guys,

Secord Animal Hospital sent all staff to a pro photographer to get our portraits done. Thought you would like to see my little man! Olympia, it was great to see you at the All About Pets show. As promised here is the picture I was teliing you about. If you guys go to see Dr. Mike it is hanging in the waiting room (we fondly call it the "wall of fame"!! Ozzy sends his love to you all! THANKS again for introducing me to a wonderful little guy who I love to death!

Hi Randy,

Linda and Chris here. We just wanted to give you an update on Venus. We've actually renamed her Widget, and she's doing great. She loves exploring, and is providing endless entertainment for us. She's surprised us in many ways, especially in her climbing skills - we never thought she'd be able to climb onto the bed, but she always finds a way. She's having a ball with the tubes we bought for her, and will spend 10 minutes at a time with them - which apparently is a long time for her. She doesn't have a very long attention span, but I guess that goes along with the ferret curiosity. In the few weeks we've had her, she's charmed all who have met her - even those who were skeptical of ferrets! I have to say, we've tried putting a harness on her so that we can take her for walks once the weather is nicer, but she's not a big fan...she backs up until she bumps into something, at which point she'll start walking forwards again haha. She does have a bit of a "thing" for feet we've realized, but again, it only lasts for a couple of minutes before she's on to the next thing. She'll let us cuddle her for a few minutes before she wants to be off again. She seems to be adjusting very well, and the scabs from the surgery are gone.

e are so in love with her, thank you again for everything, Linda and Chris.

Hey Randy,

Well we have had kelso for just over a month. The big guy is fitting in just nicely. Well we have found out that he likes toes the best when they are wet and fresh out of the shower. He also likes to cuddle with matt. It took us a while to get some good pictures of him and here they are. You can also pass them onto his foster mom or parents too if you wish. We had to set up the big back cage to the guys more room.

Sincerely,
Kim and Matt

Finally some pics for you..

He is soo funny and so loveable...

Bekki and Greggor are getting along famously and he follows her around like a puppy...he ALMOST fell asleep in her lap this morning.

He really loves the stairs!! We have about 12 stairs to the upstairs and he runs up and down...he usually gets tired after about 3 times up and down and running around for about 90 minutes....he has only pooped once on the floor as we keep the bottom door to the cage open so he can go back in a poop if he has to....

I am very happy to let you all know that Oz has found his forever home with his previous foster mommie, Laurie. He went home today at 2pm, never again to see the inside of a shelter again. Many thanks to all of you who inquired about fostering him until a forever home could be found for him, but his foster mom couldn't stand the thought of him being moved from place to place anymore (and neither could i). He's settled in and eating like a horse.

From the moment i saw him with Laurie, his whole attitude changed. He played, tried to get into her purse and was truly happy to see her. Made me see again just how sensitive these little fur children really are. He really was a different kid seeing her again and i almost cried seeing him reunited with the person he loved. THANK YOU Laurie for giving Oz a forever home and me a good night's rest in knowing another one of our fuzzy's is in a forever, loving, caring and good home.

xo Randy

Hi Randy!

Just thought I'd update you on the new one!,..I forgot her name again on the way home,..lol,..so we tried for about 3 days to think of a name that reflected her personality,..(white devil)lol,..we decided on Baby,..lmao,..

She's great,..Hyde is a little unsure yet,..that's ok,..he's still probably mourning Pogue. He's not as depressed as he was before,.she leaves him no time to be depressed!! Baby is a fireball!!. The biting isn't as bad so I think she's coming around. Im trying to kiss her every time she is near me. She's eating drinking and sleeping really good. They want to snuggle but she's too active yet,.lol..

The kids love her. She brings alot of fun to the house now. She's figured out how to climb on my bed and couch, so we had to do a little "ferret proofing". It's all good,..

Thank you again for being so understanding and loving to these little creatures. You are truely an angel for them.

I'll keep in touch for sure,..

Wolfie and Oliver are doing great! Mocha has finally accepted them although they are not yet at the sleeping together stage. Wolfie seems to have gotten over his toe nipping unless you happen to be wearing footwear he is not familar with or if it is someone's feet that he is not familiar with. One of their favorite activities is to burrow and play in the box of rice that we have provided for them. I've included a few pictures of them.

Hey there mommy ferret,

It's me Chunk. Our new mommy and daddy have decided to rename us, I am now Hector and Goonie is called Paris. We think our names are pretty cool and we already know them, sometimes we even come to them...if there are treats involved. We really like our new home especially the big box with all the tubes and tissue paper it is soooooo good for napping. We are learning how to use the litter boxes really well...ok so Paris has learned really well and I am working on it...its just so much easier to pick any corner...it doesn't make my new mom very happy though.

This girl ferret my new mom and dad have is a little funny, she acts like she wants to play and then when I try to play fight she makes scarry noises like she is afraid of me, but I keep chasing her anyway...I don't know, as odd as she is she is kinda cute. I think she likes Paris more than me she actually stayed in a carrier with him today and didn't attack him...maybe its because I always attack her...

The vet says that we are both in excellent health and that we are lucky to have our new mom and dad. We have gotten all of our shots and my mast cell tumor has shrunk so the vet has decided to leave it alone for now :) If it gets bigger again then he said he will do something about it

Anyway I think my new mom said she was going to attach some pictures for you to see. I have to go, all this typing has made me very sleepy. See you soon.

Love and kisses,
Hector & Paris

P.S. my mommy is not very good at remembering things (like putting film in to develop) so she said she will send you the pictures later ;)

Dear Randy,

Here are some pictures of Oliver and Wolfie, as promised. The "Boys" have adjusted well to their new home and we are delighted with their happy dooking as they explore and play. Wolfie loves to play under blankets and towels. He likes to carry his stuffed toys around. Wolfie was a little nippy at first but he has learned to trust us and the he is nipping a lot less now. Oliver loves playing in the plastic tunnel and is always trying to get Wolfie to play too. It's hard to take pictures of them since they are always on the go. We are still using food colouring to mark them but I don't think we'll have to do it for much longer since we are learning which is which by their size and their behaviours.

Mocha has taken a while to get used to the boys' smell and was very nervous at first. We've made their introductions slow and exchanged bedding so that they could get used to each others smells. We have only just introduced Mocha to the boys one at a time. You were right, Randy, about females being bitchy. She imediately began to assert her dominance by biting on the scruff of their necks. Later, she and Oliver had a game of chase through the plastic tunnels, both wagging their tails and appearing to enjoy themselves. They are all still unsure of each other so we will continue to take it slow.

Overall, we are loving these two big cuddly boys. Thanks so much for introducing them to us.

Hi Randy and Paige,

I'm just writing to fill you guys in on our first play session with Eddie. He's absolutely adorable and has had no trouble adjusting to his new home (that we can see). He spent about two and a half hours exploring our apartment and taking inventory with his nose (which he then checked, double-checked and re-checked). We've already found one place he's decided to start stashing things. He was stockpiling toys and items which weren't really toys but soon became them between the back of his cage and the wall. I think if he had a little more time (and patience) he probably would have brought one of my boots back there, too; the little guy has a somewhat unhealthy obsession with footwear. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite as cute as a ferret buried head first into a wobbly combat boot. Actually, I take that back - seeing him trip head over heels over a chair leg while war dancing was pretty cute, too, especially the sheepish look he gave us afterwards.

We've started learning a few new games that we all enjoy, such as peek-a-boo (also known as 't-shirt tug of war' when he's feeling really excited), chase-the-ball-until-you-run-into-a-human-or-a-wall, and the ever popular 'bite-the-human-until-they-give-you-the-goddamn-ball-back' (has only happened once so far). Tag seems to be another one of his favourites, too, especially the part where he throws himself bodily at one of us for the tag.

Right now he's curled up in one of my t-shirts in his cage, dozing. I keep having to resist the urge to wake him back up for another game of tag, but he was looking pretty tired. He's had a big day, what with all the travelling. Oh, speaking of which, he calmed down after a few minutes in the travelling cage and spent most of the ride just resting, or occasionally poking his nose out of it to take a look at what was going on. I was so worried he was going to be scared by the subway noise and 'poof' in one of the cars or something.

Oh, and he used the litterbox! Not only did he use it, but he actually climbed back into his cage to do so. Of course, the next two times were on the floor, but we can't expect perfection, especially not on the lil' guy's first day in a big new place. His stool is still quite watery, but there was a 'healthy' amount of it for us to clean up, so no real worries there. The colour was also healthy-looking, no green or anything.

We're going to let him rest for a while, and then later on tonight we'll see if he feels up to coming out for another romp around the apartment. We'll try and start taking some pictures within the next few days to send you guys, too. There have been quite a few times where I've grabbed for the camera while he was doing something especially amusing, but he has the attention span of a goldfish and moves on really quickly. We're going to try and pick up some ping-pong balls tomorrow, because I don't think that the balls we've got for him have enough bounce in them (they do, however, have bells, which is kind of neat).

I'll write again soon. Thank you both for everything.

- Nick, Deniz and Eddie

Hello all at Ferret aid, I know it has been awhile but here are some updates for Boddington and Ginger. We just want to start off and say what a pleasure it is to have them in our lives. They start our day and finish our day with lots of love and laughter. They are soon due for another visit with Dr. Regan for a check-up and shots. Otherwise, they are very active and healthy. We cannot imagine that these two beautiful ferrets were with you for over a year. They're still doing well on totally ferret, and Boddington LOVES his totally ferret treats! Here are some pictures for now. We have loads more, and we'll send you some again after they have had their check-up. Please e-mail us back and let us know if you got them, and let us know about all the other ferrets. Lots of Love!

Hi there,

Darwena is settling in very nicely. She's eating well, and is very curious about the dogs. She doesn't look scared, though I've smelled her poof when they touch noses. I have not yet let her out with the dogs in the same room as I want her to get familiar with the surroundings first so she knows where to run and hide if she gets too uncomfortable. I think she is getting quite comfortable though since she does little happy hops now while exploring. I am having the greatest time getting to know her. And I almost died of cuteness overload when I saw her for the first time, carrying her baby to a safe place. I showed Slaven and my friend and they couldn't believe how sweet she looks carrying her baby. She always puts it in the same place, right behind her home. I don't move her baby too often though because I'm sure it's serious business for her, making sure her baby is safe. She is simply the sweetest little creature. Thank you so much for letting us have her.

Cheers! Gina

Hello Randy, I just thought I'd e-mail you to tell you that Missy and Pepper are both doing really well. I love them both more than I can put into words and I thought I should tell you how thankful I am for you helping these girls and so many other ferrets (such as the ones from paris) who would have gone homeless and died if not for your help. I found out a neat fact today, the lady who contacted you about the ferrets in Paris is my boyfriend's mother's best friend. I think the work that you have done is amazing, and I cringe to think what would have happened to so many of these loving creatured had you not been so caring, selfless, loving and generous. I've already met many people who shudder when i say the world ferret, But i've brokem many myths about them being "vicious, dirty rats" by showing them how the girls will lick ferretone of their noses, and give them kissses :) ... Thanks again for doing what you do, and keep up the good work!!!

Hello to all my friends,

My name is Tasha and I am a ferret. I was recued from a park in Missisauga in October of 2004 by the nice people at the ferret aid society. I was adopted by my mom and dad in December, my name used to be Beta but my mom and dad changed it. I wanted you to know that I am so happy to have a nice home that is warm and friendly and loving, thanks for helping me.

I spend most of my time in my nice new house that mommy and daddy had to buy for me when I figured out how to escape from the last one. On New years eve i had a great time digging through mom and dads garbage, digging in grandpa's plants and eating my sister cat's food when I escaped from my bed but now that they bought me a nice new condo, I can't get loose anymore.

At play time I enjoy creeping up on my sister cat and scaring her, i like to wrestle but she isn't always thrilled with that idea. Mom and dad have a lot of great toys and tubes that I love to play in but i love their dresser the most. I love to take my toy mice and hide them under the dresser then curl up in mom or dads clothes and take a nap.

My favourite food is anything that belongs to the cat, don't get me wrong i like ferret food but cat treats are so much tastier, especially when i steal them from my sister. My grandpa keeps shoving raisins in my face and I hate them, YUK! He doesn't understand that I am an individual and a rebel and I will eat raisins if and when I chose!

As for the people i call mom and dad, they're okay if you are human! When I am tired I like to give them cuddles and kisses but when i am excited I just don't have the time. Anyway's my folks wanted to send you some pictures of me around my new home. Hope you enjoyed hearing from me. (Props to my fellow ferret peeps at the shelter)

Love Tasha and her peeps

Hi Randy,
Dave and I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank-you for allowing us to share the last year of our lives with Liam. It has been a year today that we brought him home with us and I cannot begin to explain what a joy he has been. We have watched him change from a frightened little fuzzy who never seemed to be able to make a friend to a confident, secure, companion to us and Odin (our other baby). We feel so lucky and blessed to have him in our lives. He has such a sweet gentle soul. I know sometimes Odin would like to have a brother that liked to rough play with him; however, when I see the two of them snuggling and grooming each other I know he would have it no other way. I never met an animal with such a wonderfully gentle soul as Liam's. He fits our family like a glove. Both our boys are doing great and have become the best of friends over the last year. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Hi Randy
Well Dave and I have been keeping well informed about what has been going on from your website. We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through now... it amazes me at what a strong person you must be to do what you are doing. I can only begin to understand how busy you must me so I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that you and all those babies are in our hearts, and minds, and on our lips (an irish saying...). We are going to be heading up north with the boys for Christmas. Both of our families are so excited to meet both of our new babies. I think it is because they know it will be a long time before they see any human ones (hahaha). Anyways, we want to drop off the carrier you lent us, as well as some yesterdays news (30 lb bag) and some funds to help you guys out. If there is anything that you need desparately let me know. We will be heading your way on the 22nd so let us know if someone will be around. I also want to thank you again for being there with the whole Odin thing. Sometimes you just need the right voice on the end of the line when you feel so helpless and afraid. As I am sure you understand, my boys mean the world to me and I just lose myself sometimes when things go wrong, thank you so much for helping to make things right again, Dave, Odin, Liam, and I thank you.

Hi Randy,
I thought I’d send a Felix update and picture to you as Christmas is coming.

Felix is doing very well, as you can see we adopted a cat this year (Hades) and they all get along famously. Pippin and the cat play rough with each other, which gives Felix a bit of a break from all the beatings he used to take from Pippin J Unfortunately the cat doesn’t understand that Felix is only interested in snuggling, which seems to disappoint Felix whenever he approaches Hades for snuggles and Hades paws at him to play.

He has put on a little bit of weight and his coat is the softest things I’ve ever felt, at his yearly check-up the vet couldn’t stop raving about it. He still has the sweetest of temperaments, even letting the vet pop his mouth open to examine his teeth (greatly impressing her). Felix is unfortunately starting to lose his sight, the vet isn’t sure why, she saw no cataracts, but it is clear that only at certain angles do his pupils react to light. This hasn’t really stopped him, he still motors about the place with his nose to the floor and still manages to get into lots of trouble! He has begun starting when we lean over to pick him up, so we’re trying to get in the habit of saying his name loudly before picking him up. He also seems to either be hard of hearing or have very selective hearing, he doesn’t seem to know his name or any other commands, but if you so much as touch the treat container he comes running :)

We call him our little doll because if he’s in his cage and hears one of us up he will go to whichever side of the cage we’re closest to and either roll over on his back for a belly rub or dance from one paw to the other in the hopes of us letting him out for some fun. He was very cute when we took him to see Santa, him and Pippin kept trying to burrow into Santa’s beard, while Hades was trying to make a run for it.

Thanks so much for letting us adopt him!

Terri and John

Dear FerretAid,
My name is Bobbi Jo. I adopted two wonderful little scurfufflers from you a year and a bit ago (July or August 2003), Ferrox and Dax, now called Wendy and Joey. I am so happy to have them, and I think they are happy to have me too. I have moved into a larger apartment with lots of sunshine and a big backyard. The kids still don't like wearing harnesses but they love going outside. My husband and I built them a five bedroom condo (in one of the attached pics) so they still have a bit of room to roam when it is not "playtime".

About a month after I got them we had a bit of a scare as the hair on Joey's tail thinned off his tail, but then it grew in nice and thick again, and this year it has been doing it again, but this time on the bottom of his tail. The vet thinks it is ok, and that they are in great shape. They weigh pretty much the same as last year. We have a rice box for them and lots of other toys. I also found a nice lady at a nearby petstore to order the Totally ferret food for me. I can't believe how many places I called and went to that would not order it becuase they only use certain distributers. FYI the places I have found that carry it or will order are: The humane society (will order only in bulk), Managerie on Parliament St, and Umbrella Pets on Spadina and King (the nice lady who orders it for me).

Anyhow, I just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work. Bobbi Jo.

This October (2004), Toronto man let his three Pit Bulls out for their late night pee session. On their return home, Trouble, the oldest of the three, had a tiny, half-frozen ferret in her mouth. Trouble nursed and warmed the ferret for hours, not letting him out of her sight. She groomed him and followed him everywhere he went. The other Pit Bulls were curious and stayed close to the little ball of fur.

The dog's owner Sean, called me to ask for assistance and told me he felt it was "fate" that Trouble brought this ferret home and he was going to do everything he could to give this ferret a good home.

Sean went out and bought tubes, tunnels, food and everything this ferret could ever want. He transformed his spare room into a ferret haven for this little boy he called Hercules. Sean did all of this in a twenty-four hour span. A hard feat, even for experienced ferret owners. In the meantime, Trouble and the other two Pit Bulls kept watchful and mothering eyes on the tiny ferret.

The little boy ferret's owner was found. She is a young girl who is thankful that Trouble, the Pit Bull found her beloved pet and kept him safe and sound. Romeo (Hercules) was reunited with his Juliet. Since the girl lives very close to Trouble, she has been visiting the Pit Bull with her ferrets almost on a nightly basis for some play time!

Hi!

I don’t have a long story to tell, it’s only been a short while but I am so pleased with our new addition I wanted to share a bit.

I have a ferret named Hyde. He is now 11mths old. He was getting a little bored with being an only ferret in our home and we keep odd hours working and school. Hyde needed a sibling. We contacted FAS and ended up adopting Pogue. He is wonderful!! He came from an abusive background and a while at the shelter so he was a little timid at first. Pogue and Hyde are pretty much inseparable today! They play, eat, and sleep together all the time. He is such a big suck!! We absolutely love our new little boy to pieces. A big thank you to all at the shelter!

I've got two new kids!!!! I'll have to go home and cuddle them just to be sure. For introducing new kids, I'll say this is fairly uneventful! they traveled well, in the car, interested but not fussy. I don't think there were any scuffles for the first hour. Dart's a bit grumpy but since Popcorn and Sorin mostly ignores her, she's not too too pissed. Sprite spend a while tailing them without incident, and then later she decided she doesn't want them around. so she gets a bit upset when they get near her and she did chase Popcorn around this morning. still, not anywhere like her reaction to Dart and Clef. she's also taking out some of her frustration on Dart, she was snapping at Dart a bit this morning. she's getting a ton of treats, so hopefully she'll accept them soon. she hid under a bookshelf most of the night. Clef's a bit intimidated by the big boys, he mostly hid on my bed and cuddled, after the initial sniffing. just to show how uneventful it was, I left them all out last night and still managed to get some sleep. Sorin even slept on my bed. they still act a bit jumpy now and then, but hopefully they'll get used to me soon. and Ina's jealous since now I have bigger ferrets, Sorin at 1500g is ~150g bigger than Kaie, her biggest. she still has the smallest weasel, though will keep you posted.

Hi Randi and everyone else at Ferret Aid.

It has been almost a month since we brought Annie home and she has really settled in. We have noticed that she is a lot more cuddly than when she first arrived and enjoys snuggling up on our chests and sleeping. We are still working on the leash thing, she loves being outside but is not thrilled at going in the same direction as us, she much prefers to dart off in her own direction....she also loves her own front yard and is still a little cautious about being anywhere else. Annie loves to lie under the evergreen trees and attack the leaves that brush her fur, it is very fun to watch. She gets a lot of attention in the neighbourhood, everyone wants to see her and talk about how cute she is when we walk her on the leash.....we think that some people might think that she is a weird looking dog.....we agree she is a weird looking dog :)

We have realised that Annie is not a big fan of water, we have tried a few times to put her in shallow water but she protests and gets out straight away!!!

Annie still has a fetish for furry animals and stashes them all over the house. She prefers the cats toys which are extremely fluffy.....the fluffier the better!

Anyway that's about all we have to say, we read the letter from heaven on the web site and were touched that Harley mentioned us in his letter. We are really enjoying Annie, she is a sweetie pie.

We have a few pictures to share, hope you enjoy them. We will see you in September at the Ferret Frolic,
Julie, Shawn and Annie.

Hi Paige:
I thought that I would let you know how Sunshine is doing. We didn't get to the vet until yesterday - I had to cancel last week's appointment. However, I have excellent news for you. Her vulva has gone down to so close to normal that there is nothing to be concerned about. Her coat, eyes and ears are perfect. Absolutely no signs of adrenal problems at all. She is extremely active - more and more each day. We do our daily walk around the property and she has started to run most of it. The cats join in and we have a blast. This usually takes a good 45 minutes to an hour. She has gotten to the point that as soon as we are in sight of the back door, she starts squirming and just wants to GO, and I mean GO! When we go back in, she likes to do her happy ferret dance, and beat up her stuffed bear and mouse. Then it's hide and seek with anyone willing to play. She is eating well and is still the sweetie pie we all love. I get plenty of kisses and ear cleaning daily. I have a couple of pictures of her and my goats checking each other out. They are no longer afraind of her. I will send them to you next week. Talk to you soon!

Here is Sunshine with her new best friend, Ben.

We often wonder how the fuzzies we adopted out are doing. "Action Jackson" was a beautiful little boy full of energy that we adopted out last spring. His parents were kind enough to send us an update on him:

Hello Olympia and everyone else at the shelter from Jackson, Gloria, Leila.

Jackson is doing just great!! We have had a great year with him so far and are looking forward to as many years with him as possible. He has a new veterinarian in Markham, and he had all his required shots in Dec. and thankfully no bad reactions. However, in the spring time it looks like he may need some dental work, just a cleaning of his teeth, but he will have to be given some sleeping gas so they can keep him still for longer then 2 seconds, he's a feisty little guy with so much energy. Dr. Campolonga said she had never had such an energetic ferret in her office before!

We are now both living in London for a short time, and of course Mr. Jackson is with us, we are taking a couple of courses at Western and will then head back to Markham/scarborough area where we are both from.

Jackson got a new big cage for Christmas, it's fantastic and he loves it, he has his own space, plus he has the run of a whole room to himself, which I'm sure he just loves. He's been a fantastic plus in our lives, he brings so much joy into them. It's great to play with him, he's never in a bad mood. We have lots of pictures of him, I'm still trying to hook up my digital camera to my computer so that I can send pictures of him. Sometime in the spring we will bring him by for a short visit if you would like, also we would eventually like to help out at the shelter if we can. School will almost finished for us and full time work is ahead, but we would love to take sometime out of our schedules and help out a couple of times a month or something like that!!!

So we will send some pictures your way, thanks for writing to us!

From
Jackson and his 2 worshippers, Leila and Gloria!

Sherlock Flea was found in a warehouse by the Oakville Humane Society. He was covered in over 200 ticks. He came to our shelter on April 16 2002. Sherlock Flea was neutered on May 6 2002 and gets along with all other ferrets. Flea or Sherlock as he's sometimes called is a very playful and happy boy. Thank you to the Oakville Humane Society for taking care of Flea. Sherlock was last seen gracing the cover of Ferret Magazine.
